Job Description

Mechatronics Engineer is a hands-on, blended mechanical and controls role at a fast-paced manufacturing plant in Fremont, OH. You'll help design, build, troubleshoot, and improve machine tools and production equipment in an environment that values practical problem-solving and safe, maintainable results. If you enjoy working across CAD and the machine floor, this is the opportunity to make a real impact every day. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechatronics Engineer position include: Support the design, development, troubleshooting, and improvement of manufacturing equipment and machine tools. Create and modify mechanical designs using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD. Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Tool & Die, Maintenance, Production, and Quality to develop practical solutions. Assist with PLC, HMI, sensor, servo, VFD, pneumatic, and electromechanical troubleshooting during development and support. Help specify and integrate sensors, actuators, cylinders, motors, drives, valves, switches, and basic control components. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and machine documentation. Support automation tasks such as signal verification, I/O checkout, machine sequence review, panel troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning. Identify root causes of equipment issues and document machine changes, settings, controls notes, and troubleshooting findings.
Salary:
$68,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits:
Medical/pharmacy and dental start day 31 with no payroll deduction; vision and ancillary coverages have deductions if elected. 401k starts first day of the month after 60 days; match is 100% up to 3% and 50% over 3%, not to exceed 5%.
