• $130,000 per year We're hiring for an experienced engineer to take technical ownership of custom process systems for a family-run manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Michigan , with around 300 employees and extensive in-house engineering and manufacturing capability.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in process equipment involving pumps, tanks, mixers, dosing systems, filling equipment or similar technologies , who is comfortable taking projects from initial handoff through engineering, manufacture and delivery. What's on offer? $110,000

Taking technical ownership of liquid processing projects following the initial sales and applications handoff Making sure project scope, performance requirements and customer specifications are understood and delivered Reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, system layouts and engineering documentation Reviewing SolidWorks designs and bills of materials before they progress through manufacturing Providing technical direction to mechanical engineers and other internal engineering resources Supporting equipment and component selection across systems involving pumps, tanks, mixers, heat exchangers, dosing skids and related equipment Working closely with Project Management, procurement, fabrication and production throughout the build What do you need? Strong, broad experience working with liquid processing systems or similar Practical understanding of equipment such as pumps, tanks, mixers, valves, dosing systems and process skids 5+ years of relevant engineering experience within liquid processing, capital equipment, process systems, packaging, automation or a similar environment Experience reading and working with PFDs and P&IDs An understanding of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software at a review level A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field Your current title isn't important. You could currently be working as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Systems Engineer, Applications Engineer or Technical Lead . Experience within liquid processing, food processing, water treatment, or distilling, manufacturing environments would all be relevant.
