This role works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to improve equipment reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency. The position reports to the Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering Manager . What You'll Do Program, troubleshoot, modify, and commission PLC-controlled equipment Configure HMIs, sensors, servo systems, VFDs, and industrial networks Program, troubleshoot, and integrate industrial robots and automated systems Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and controls-related equipment issues Lead equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and process improvements Support welding systems, vision systems, robotics, and manufacturing automation Use MES, SCADA, historian systems, and OEE data to identify downtime and performance opportunities Lead root cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA, and other problem-solving tools Support machine safety, guarding, safety PLCs/relays, risk assessments, and LOTO Coordinate technical projects with vendors and cross-functional teams Support predictive maintenance and emerging AI/ML manufacturing applications What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Controls Engineering, or related field 5+ years of manufacturing, automation, controls, or maintenance engineering experience Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills Hands-on industrial robotics and automation experience Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting ability Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings Experience with HMI, servo/VFD systems, sensors, and industrial networking Experience with MES, SCADA, historian systems, and OEE analytics Strong project management and structured problem-solving skills Working knowledge of machine safety and LOTO Preferred Experience Welding, machining, assembly, or automated manufacturing environments Vision systems Predictive maintenance technologies AI/ML applications in manufacturing Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing role that may require standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and working around industrial equipment. Occasional off-shift or weekend support may be required during installations or breakdowns.

Domestic travel:
