Full Job Description Summary:

Blackburn Consulting is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to work on engineering and geology projects. Project Engineers at Blackburn Consulting work under the direction of the Director of Geotechnical Services and senior firm leadership. This candidate has 2-4 years of experience in a project-based, geotechnical engineering related field. This position requires travel to project related sites, critical thinking, and the ability to learn and adopt project-based problem solving.

Technical Duties:

Prepares simple designs, calculations, and draft reports Gathers and compiles data at the direction of Project Managers or Sr. Engineers Historical and analytical project research Engages in simple data and results analysis Completes tasks from Project Managers and senior staff on geotechnical engineering projects Works in field to complete exploration and data collection with drillers

Essential Duties:

Communication with team members, takes direction well from others Basic understanding of budgets, ability to track time and expenses Coordinate with multiple parties to complete work Use and manipulate basic CAD and PDF software

Essential Abilities:

Communication skills internally and externally Multi-task between projects Ability to deliver a high-quality deliverable in a timely manner Technical writing Interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and grow

Technical Qualifications:

EIT mandatory, Registered PE preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering mandatory, Master's degree preferred 2-4 years of relevant experience Valid driver's license and personal vehicle Computer Savvy (Windows 10, Autodesk Civil 3D, GIS, Adobe)

Physical Requirements:
