DMY Engineering Consultants Inc. is seeking a Staff Geologist or Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The candidate may be working out of our Chantilly, VA or Columbia, MD office.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate geotechnical field work. Use GIS and GPS to aid in planning and executing geotechnical field work. Geotechnical field sampling. Log geotechnical test borings and investigations. Prepare boring logs using gINT.

Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or related Science. 0-1 years of professional experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Strong work ethic and a desire for continual self-improvement. Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel Ability to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to work in uneven terrain.

Desired Skills/Experience:

Prior internship or professional work in a related field.

Other Requirements:

Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check. Ability to pass a pre-employment screening. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
