You'll review site development plans, grading and drainage, stormwater systems, roads and paving, underground utilities, foundations, concrete and structural steel designs, pipe racks, equipment support structures, buildings, platforms, access systems, retaining structures, and other civil/structural balance-of-plant designs. You'll review geotechnical recommendations and verify appropriate incorporation of soil parameters, groundwater conditions, settlement criteria, bearing capacities, deep-foundation requirements, earthwork requirements, and other geotechnical design inputs into the EoR design. You'll provide technical oversight of foundations and structural supports for major CCGT equipment including gas turbines, HRSGs, steam turbine/generator equipment, transformers, cooling systems, pipe racks, large rotating equipment, tanks, buildings, and other major plant systems. You'll evaluate civil/structural interfaces among OEM equipment loads and anchor-bolt requirements, EoR foundations and structures, underground utilities, piping/electrical routing, buildings, construction sequencing, heavy-haul routes, crane access, and permanent plant access. You'll review structural calculations, design drawings, specifications, connection details, reinforcing steel details, anchor systems, embedded items, vendor loads, dynamic/vibration criteria, and design changes for technical completeness and consistency. You'll review RFIs, technical queries, design deviations, field change notices, and proposed scope changes and provide owner-side recommendations regarding technical acceptability, constructability, cost/schedule implications, and required follow-up. You'll review NCRs and field quality issues involving earthwork, concrete, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, structural steel, coatings, underground utilities, foundations, and other civil/structural work; evaluate proposed dispositions and support development of mitigation or repair plans. You'll perform constructability reviews and field walkdowns to identify conflicts among foundations, undergrounds, structural steel, piping, cable systems, equipment access, drainage, roads, cranes, temporary works, and construction sequencing. You'll support MOC by evaluating civil/structural scope changes and identifying impacts to calculations, drawings, geotechnical assumptions, equipment interfaces, quantities, construction sequencing, cost, and schedule. You'll support construction and commissioning readiness by helping resolve foundation, alignment, access, structural completion, equipment support, underground utility, drainage, and other civil issues that could prevent equipment installation, system turnover, energization, startup, or long-term maintainability. You'll coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, I&C, construction, commissioning, project controls, commercial, and operations teams to resolve multidisciplinary design and field issues. You'll document design assurance findings, maintain technical issue/action logs, support risk identification and mitigation, and communicate material civil/structural risks and recommendations to project leadership. You'll promote safe design and construction practices and identify conditions that could affect structural integrity, construction safety, equipment reliability, flooding/drainage performance, access, maintainability, or long-term asset performance.
