Geotechnical/Civil Engineer

Overview:

APA Solar is a national leading provider of solar racking systems with projects throughout the US. Seeking a Civil Engineer or someone with a Geotechnical background to join our team and provide engineering support for our foundation / soil reporting. The Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and providing recommendations for the design and construction of various field projects. This is an in office position with little travel involved.

Job Duties:

Support/supervise foundation testing field services Create/develop testing methods, review quality and inspection process for foundation testing Complete foundation testing maps, review, analysis, and reporting of results Prepare calculation packages, technical reports and letters Participates in conceptual foundation design meetings with other engineering staff to reflect product design intent. Interfaces directly with the sales team, construction group, engineering team, and customers as needed to provide technical support

Being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges to find ways to improve the current system Detail-oriented by being careful and thorough in completing work tasks. AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor Education & Experience:

Associate degree in an engineering-related field with equivalent experience required Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering highly preferred. 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience Geotechnical/Construction foundation experience preferred. Previous project management experience
