Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated Quarry Mining Engineering Intern to join our team. This opportunity provides hands-on experience supporting quarry operations, mine planning, process improvement initiatives, and operational excellence projects within a dynamic aggregates environment. What You'll Be Doing Assist in the planning and execution of quarry mining operations. Conduct field surveys and collect operational data for analysis and reporting. Support mine planning, production monitoring, and project implementation activities. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify safety and efficiency improvements. Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations related to operational performance. What Are We Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret data and apply technical concepts to operational challenges. Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
