Project Engineer What This Job Is Really About Complete Control Solutions is a systems integrator providing controls engineering and industrial automation solutions for a wide range of customers and industries. Our projects range from troubleshooting existing systems to designing, building, programming, and commissioning complete automation systems. We're looking for a Project Engineer to manage projects from initial customer discussions through commissioning and closeout. This is primarily a project management role , but we need someone with a strong controls background who can understand the technical side of our projects and step in with programming, troubleshooting, or commissioning when needed. Key Responsibilities Project Management Manage multiple automation projects from kickoff through completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate engineering resources, panel fabrication, purchasing, field work, and customer requirements. Serve as the primary customer contact and provide regular project updates. Track project scope, budgets, labor hours, material costs, and schedule. Identify scope changes and assist with change orders. Prepare project proposals and estimates with input from engineering and sales. Coordinate material purchasing and monitor lead times. Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact project delivery. Controls Engineering Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems as needed. Support startups, commissioning, field troubleshooting, and customer training. Review electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation. Support controls upgrades and retrofits. Assist customers and engineering staff with technical troubleshooting. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in controls, automation, systems integration, or industrial engineering. Project management or project coordination experience preferred. Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation. Strong organizational, communication, and customer-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms highly desirable. ABB automation or robotics experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Project Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered. Valid driver's license. Travel & On-Call Travel as required for customer meetings, startups, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Some overtime and weekend work may be required. Must live within approximately 60 minutes of Lebanon, PA. Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week per month. Flat on-call compensation plus overtime for actual call time. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
