We have a great opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Morristown, New Jersey / New York offices and be part of the Geotechnical Group for the Northeast region. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to follow projects from concept through construction, working on current and upcoming design-bid-build and design-build projects in highways, rail, water, environmental, ports and maritime, and advanced facilities sectors. By joining our practice you'll be responsible for: Design of shallow and deep foundations Design of earth retaining structures Slope stabilizing measures Liquefaction mitigation Ground improvement. Coordination and generation of geotechnical-based drawings and specifications, and preparation of data, baseline, and interpretative reports. Here's what you'll need Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in field assignments that will include observation of explorations (soil and rock borings, test pits, CPT soundings, geophysical testing), and laboratory testing of soils and rock. Knowledge of the process to design shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, embankment and cut slopes, and slope stabilization. Design and installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring; and inspection of earth retaining structures, deep foundations inspection and testing (drilled shafts, driven piles), and shallow foundations, and trenchless pipe installation. Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications. Experience with Plaxis is a plus BS in Civil Engineering. MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred). Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
