ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform fieldwork for geotechnical subsurface investigation programs and geophysical surveys for RRCs projects under specific work instructions as provided by project managers, including geotechnical drilling and sampling, visual field reconnaissance, and soil and rock logging, and geophysical surveys. This also includes communication and interaction with drilling contractors and clients. Observation and documentation of geotechnical construction activities and perform construction material testing/inspection during construction phases. Under the supervision of RRCs senior geotechnical staff, perform geotechnical engineering tasks including review of soil and bedrock samples, review in-situ and laboratory test results, shallow and deep foundation design calculations, settlement calculations, slope stability and other conventional geotechnical engineering calculations. Perform other engineering activities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND

ABILITIES

) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field. Coursework in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, geology, and earth structures is a strong plus. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Exam passed. Willing to work in outdoor conditions and travel to various project locations throughout the United States. ( Please note that extensive travel (75%) to the ongoing RRC Project sites, located throughout the United States will be required during the first two years.)
