Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Entry-Level / Graduate A Snapshot of Your Day Siemens Energy is looking for a Certified NDE (Nondestructive Examination) Level II Technician in PT (Penetrant Testing) and VT (Visual Inspection) to provide inspection services both in-process and at final to drawing, specification and/or standard operating procedure within Fort Payne Siemens Energy Electrical Components Plant. The selected candidate will prepare detailed documentation of all findings and results via the corresponding electronic systems. This role is 2 nd shift, Weekday Nights, Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am and must be willing to work overtime and change shifts for training or production needs. How You'll Make an Impact Provide a variety of non-destructive testing techniques on Large Generator Components. Will evaluate critical to quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements, and parameters using standard and special gauging. Perform NDE inspections to specification or drawing requirements. Communicate findings and concerns in verbal and written form (for example, written report or diagrams). Train other technicians onVT, PT, UT
(Ultrasonic Testing), PAUT (Phase array UT) requirements to certify and recertify as level II. Train and master new NDE Technology and Testing techniques as required to support the business. Analyze working environment and propose/implement improvements. Participates and takes initiative in continuous improvement projects, participating in root cause analysis, and problem-solving methods. Will work safely and report immediately any safety concerns to management What You Bring High school diploma/GED is required; Associate's degree in engineering or related science field is preferred. Must have at least 2 years NDE experience and must be level II certified on PT and VT; Must provide objective evidence of hours and level II certification letter or documentation. Must be able to meet Siemens Energy Level II certification requirements in the specific NDE method through testing and passing the specific, general, and practical exams; Must be able to maintain level II status . Experience with Boroscoping techniques and certified Level II inUT & PAUT
is preferred. Experience with gauging, drawings, specification, standard operating procedures, and must be familiar with the metric system for measurement.Digital literacy:
Microsoft Office proficiency is a requirement. SAP knowledge is preferred.
