Job Description

Challenge Testing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Level II Shear Wave NDT Technician to join our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Department. Position Responsibilities Perform Ultrasonic Shear Wave Testing (UTSW) in accordance with applicable codes, procedures, and client requirements. Perform and document NDT inspections accurately and efficiently. Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable acceptance criteria. Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports. Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration. Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other team members. Travel to job sites as required. Required Qualifications Current Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) with Shear Wave experience. Previous hands-on experience performing Ultrasonic Shear Wave Testing (UTSW). Knowledge of applicable NDT codes, standards, procedures, and acceptance criteria. Ability to independently perform, interpret, evaluate, and document UT Shear Wave inspections. Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work varying schedules, including overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as required. Additional NDT certifications such as MT, PT, RT, or CWI are a plus.
