Job Description
Shear Wave NDT Technician Challenge Testing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Shear Wave NDT Technician to join our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Department.
Position Responsibilities Perform Ultrasonic Shear Wave Testing (UTSW) in accordance with applicable codes, procedures, and client requirements. Perform and document NDT inspections accurately and efficiently. Interpret and evaluate inspection results. Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports. Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration. Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other team members. Travel to job sites as required. Qualifications Previous experience performing Ultrasonic Shear Wave Testing. Current or previous UT Level II / Shear Wave certification preferred. Knowledge of applicable NDT codes, standards, and procedures. Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work varying schedules, including overtime, nights, and weekends when required.
