Full Job Description NDT Technician Location:
Phoenix, AZ Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM-3:30 PM Job Summary We are seeking a qualified NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing and inspection of sheet metal aircraft components . Candidates must have NDT certifications and documented NDT hours , with experience in FPI, Radiographic Inspection, and Digital X-Ray . Responsibilities Perform and interpret FPI, Radiographic, and Digital X-Ray inspections . Inspect aircraft components and identify defects or faulty processes. Read and follow blueprints, drawings, NDT procedures, and technique sheets . Generate X-ray film for simple and complex parts. Document inspection results accurately. Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools . Create and revise NDT technique sheets as required. Apply basic GD&T and shop mathematics . Support other NDT technicians and production teams. Follow all quality, safety, and NDT procedures. Requirements Required NDT certifications and documented NDT hours. Certification/experience in FPI, Radiography, and Digital X-Ray . Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints. Basic knowledge of GD&T . Experience with precision measurement equipment. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures. Aerospace/aircraft inspection experience preferred.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Do you have current NDT certifications in FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection), Radiographic Inspection, and Digital X-Ray? Please specify your certification level and documented NDT hours for each method. How much hands-on experience do you have performing NDT inspections on aircraft or aerospace components? Which NDT methods have you personally performed? Are you comfortable reading engineering drawings/blueprints and using inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers, with basic knowledge of GD&T?
