  • 67 per hour, depending on experience and certification level Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Ultrasonic NDT Inspector to support the Quality team of an innovative aerospace manufacturer in Mountain View.
The successful candidate will perform ultrasonic inspections on critical composite aircraft components using A-scan and C-scan techniques. You will set up and standardise inspection equipment, evaluate results, document defects and ensure components conform to approved engineering requirements, procedures and aerospace quality standards. Key Responsibilities Set up, standardise and perform system checks on ultrasonic NDT equipment Conduct A-scan and C-scan ultrasonic inspections on composite aircraft components Interpret and evaluate inspection results against approved specifications and procedures Identify, document and report defects, anomalies and non-conformances Develop detailed written work instructions from general NDI procedures Maintain accurate and traceable inspection records Work with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve technical issues Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions Maintain the required NDI certification and comply with safety and quality requirements Required Qualifications Current or previous Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing certification in accordance with NAS-410 or an equivalent recognised standard At least five years of relevant NDT/NDI experience Practical experience inspecting aerospace-grade composite materials Strong experience with both A-scan and C-scan ultrasonic testing In-depth understanding of ultrasonic testing principles, equipment and flaw-detection methods Ability to interpret and document complex inspection results independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to work fully onsite in Mountain View, California, beginning at 6:00 a.m.
