NDT Level II Full Job Description Ultrasonic NDT Inspector Location:
Mountain View, CA Duration:
6 months As a Nondestructive Inspector (NDI) specializing in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) of composite materials, you will be involved in utilizing multiple ultrasonic inspection methods to inspect critical aircraft components in accordance with defined requirements. You will be responsible for setting up, performing, and interpreting NDI results to ensure product quality and conformance to internal engineering specifications and procedures. Responsibilities Setup and standardize NDI equipment and conduct system performance checks to ensure system and inspection accuracy. Perform complex NDI inspections, specifically A-scan and C-scan Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on composite aircraft parts. Identify, document, and report any defects, non-conformances, or anomalies found during the inspection process. Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in accordance with approved internal procedures, specifications, and industry standards. Developing written work instructions from general procedures. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain NDI certification and comply with all safety regulations and quality management system requirements. Proven Ability /
Key Skills NDI Certification:
Current or prior certification as a Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Inspector in accordance with NAS-410 or equivalent recognized standard. Proven ability performing ultrasonic NDI on composite materials, including A-scan and C-scan methodologies. In-depth knowledge of UT principles, equipment operation, and flaw detection techniques in aerospace-grade composites.
