We are currently looking for an NDT technician to add to our growing team.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
Pay Range:
$28-38/hour Depending on experienceSummary:
The NDT Level II technician shall be experienced, results driven and detailed oriented individual. The NDT Level II inspections required include Liquid Penetrant Testing, Visual Testing, and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing. Other NDT testing may be required such as Helium Leak Testing and Hydrostatic Pressure Testing. This is a key role responsible in ensuring the safety and efficiency of machinery, materials, and structures by detecting defects or irregularities without causing damage.Responsibilities:
Perform non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to detect defects Support NDT team in scheduling and performing inspections Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment Handle and properly use inspection tools and equipment Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated regularly Interpret, evaluate and document test results Prepare, organize and write detailed reports on inspection results Review with relevant stakeholders to discuss existing or potential issues and preventative measures Other duties as required and directed by leadership teamCompliance:
Ensure compliance by following industry standards Support source audits by customer or third-party inspection Maintain training and competence log Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Provide (OJT) on the job training to new employees.Requirements:
Extensive understanding of ASME Section V and ASME Section VIII requirements. Previous experience in the application of the following NDT methods: PT, UT, VT, and Helium Leak Testing (HeLT) ASNT Level II orISO 9712
Level II certification preferred in UT, VT, and PT methods Proficient in reading and interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols Experience in Welding Inspections Excellent in the following skills: Analytical ability Reading and writing Communication Mathematical Computer Organizational Leadership Problem-solving aptitude Education and/orExperience:
Bachelors (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:
