A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Cable Inspector - 1st Shift

LOCATION

Clearwater, FL

PAY RATE:

$28/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:
Job Type:

Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Shift:

5:00 AM 3:30 PM, Monday Thursday (OT opportunities on weekends)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Inspect cables using predetermined methods, operations, and specifications

Use measuring devices such as dial indicators, preset micrometers, and scales

Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems

Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions

Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

Communicate effectively with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues

Perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed

Requirements:

Strong background in cable manufacturing and inspection

Experience with soldered and crimp inspection on cables using

IPC-A-620

standards

Detail-oriented; proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management

Proficient with personal computers and modern software applications

No degree required

Must be able to read and write English

Must take and pass a medical screening exam as outlined in the supplier guide
