Scope of Work:
This position reports to and works under the direction the Responsible Level 3. Primary job functions will be performing phased array inspection on composite laminate and laminate parts. This will consist of, but is not limited to: Utilizing Contact, Manual Immersion, and Automated Immersion pulse echo and TTU Phased Array inspection techniques inspecting for porosity, voids, foreign materials, delamination and other typical process discrepancies.Shift:
Will start on 1st shift (0600-1430) for training and certification with the intent of becoming a 2nd shift position (1430-2300). 2nd shift differential is $1.50 per hour.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works from engineering specifications and written instructions to plan and perform inspection techniques such as Phased Array, TTU/Pulse Echo Ultrasonic inspection, and visual inspection of composite laminates.
- Evaluates parts and materials to ensure conformance to all quality and engineering requirements.
- Must be able to successfully pass level 2 Qualification testing to NAS-410 and ATC Manufacturing, Inc NDI personnel specifications for phased array inspection and Ultrasonic Testing Certification.
- Routes rejected parts and assemblies to appropriate department for disposition.
- Effectively communicate to the other members of our NDI Team, and other relevant department Leads, on any noteworthy issues.
- Fulfill responsibilities defined by ATC Manufacturing Inc Personnel Specifications and Procedures for nondestructive inspection.
- Participate in meetings as members of cross- functional teams/task groups and coordinates duties, tasks, findings, and other priorities to our Team of NDI technicians and QA professionals to maintain inspection quality and throughput efficiencies.
- Provide job related training or instruction as required. Performs other related duties as required.
- Perform other special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
Requires documented proof of formal training to meet Level 2 requirements per NAS-410 and ATC Manufacturing, Inc NDI personnel specification for phased array inspection and Ultrasonic Testing (80 hrs.).Experience:
Requires documented proof of experience/on-job-training to meet the Level 2 requirements per NAS-410 and ATC Manufacturing, Inc NDI personnel specification for Ultrasonic Testing (minimum 800 hrs.). Preferred minimum of two years of experience in phased array inspection utilizing Manual and Automated motion control equipment using immersion Phased array inspection techniques with an overall 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with AUPE systems programming (Marietta, Genesis, Kuka, Etc) optimalTechnical Skills:
o Knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. o Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method in which they are certified. o Knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standard. o Excellent communication/training capability for providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1's. o When required, be capable of developing work instructions from approved general procedures. Such work instructions shall require final approval by a Level 3 certified in the method. o Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology. o Experience with manufacturing systems and ERP software. o Strong knowledge AUPE and MUPE systems.Soft Skills:
