Company Description manufacturing company Job Description Manufacturing company that makes fabricated steel products needs Certified Welding Inspectors, also called CWI. This is a completely on-site position. The company provides wonderful benefits. You would work a four-day work week, 10 hours a day. Day and night positions are available. $35-40 per hour. Please ignore the salary estimate you might see. This is an onsite position in your choice of working in Western Tennessee or the Florence, SC area. I am advertising to find people who might relocate. You would be expected to live and work in the same area. Relocation assistance is available. You will be responsible for onsite testing and inspection of fabricated steel assemblies designed to support heavy loads. Read and interpret fabrication drawings. Constant floor inspection and documentation of all manufacturing processes including Cutting, punching, shearing stamping, notching, welding and paint. The welding process is a GMAW Spray Transfer process. All necessary testing and personal protection equipment will be provided by the company Maintain daily inspection records Should be experienced in inspection and test of structures and welds. Experience with Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Visual, and Ultrasonic inspection (NDI) preferred. Qualifications Requirements AWS CWI Certification. Certified Welding Inspector with at least three years' experience. This is a position in manufacturing, but will consider people with construction, civil engineering, defense, marine, or aerospace experience. Must be able to identify components having cracks, corrosion, faulty welds, or other defects that would affect structural integrity. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings or blueprints. Proficiency with MS Office software and the ability to produce reports in desired formats is a must.
