A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Certified Welding Inspector for a large engineering consulting firm in the Charlotte, NC. Individuals will spend their day conducting on‑site inspections to ensure work meets building codes, project specifications, and construction drawings. They evaluate multiple disciplines—such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, and fireproofing—using visual checks, physical measurements, and field testing to verify conformance. Inspectors document all observations, prepare detailed inspection reports, and perform basic data analysis before submitting findings. Throughout the day, they communicate results to project managers, engineers, and other personnel, and may collaborate on resolving issues. They also support senior inspectors when needed, maintain and calibrate their equipment, and travel between sites in a work vehicle.
