High school diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing or aerospace experience preferred. Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection is preferred but not required. Ability to obtain and maintain FPI Level I certification in accordance with NAS410 (or company certification requirements). Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to distinguish fluorescent indications under UV lighting. Must meet vision requirements for FPI certification, including near vision and color perception, as required by NAS410. Prepare parts for fluorescent penetrant inspection, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparation. Process parts through the penetrant inspection line following established work instructions. Ensure traceability of parts and maintain accurate production documentation. Verify parts meet engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inspection area and equipment. Perform daily equipment checks and assist with routine maintenance of FPI equipment. Follow all NADCAP, ASTM, customer, and company quality standards. Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety regulations when handling chemicals and operating equipment. Report quality concerns, nonconforming material, or equipment issues to supervision. Participate in continuous improvement activities and maintain a safe work environment.
