Job Description

Eddy Current Technician Level II Tubacex America - Durant, Oklahoma Position Summary Tubacex America is seeking an experienced Eddy Current Technician Level II to perform nondestructive testing inspections on tubular products and components at our Durant manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will independently set up and operate eddy current testing equipment, interpret inspection results, document findings, and support product quality, safety, and customer requirements. This position will work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to identify defects and improve inspection effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Perform Eddy Current Testing in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot eddy current inspection equipment. Conduct inspections and evaluate indications for cracks, laps, seams, inclusions, dimensional variation, and other discontinuities. Interpret and document test results accurately and completely. Verify equipment calibration and maintain inspection records. Identify nonconforming product and communicate findings to Quality and Production leadership. Assist with investigations of inspection failures and recurring defects. Support development, validation, and improvement of eddy current inspection techniques and procedures. Train, guide, and provide technical direction to Level I technicians and inspection personnel. Maintain compliance with applicable safety requirements and company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Participate in continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving activities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Current Eddy Current Testing Level II certification in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or an equivalent employer-based written practice. Demonstrated experience performing Eddy Current Testing in a manufacturing, metals, tubing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial environment. Ability to set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot eddy current equipment. Ability to interpret inspection signals and evaluate test results. High school diploma or GED. Ability to read and follow technical procedures, work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Basic computer skills for entering inspection results and maintaining records. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Additional Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, or Visual Testing. Experience inspecting stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, or tubular products. Experience with automated eddy current inspection systems. Experience with quality systems, nonconformance reporting, and root-cause analysis. Experience working in a steel or metal manufacturing environment. Familiarity with customer-specific requirements and applicable ASTM, ASME, API, or ISO standards. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, industrial noise, heat, dust, and metal products. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands for extended periods. Ability to lift and move inspection equipment and materials as required. Ability to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when business needs require.
