NDT, LLC
is seeking an NDT Level II UT Inspector to perform nondestructive testing inspections in a manufacturing setting. This work will be at least a 6-month contract with the possibility of full-time employment upon completion. Technician will be utilizing provided automated UT equipment. Training can be provided on equipment use if necessary.
Methods required:
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). Candidates certified in a single method are encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience, certifications, and demonstrated field capability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform NDT inspections on assigned projects using certified methods Read and comprehend drawings, designs, specifications, and applicable codes or standards Determine appropriate inspection methods, techniques, and equipment for each application Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment per applicable written procedures Conduct inspections to detect flaws, discontinuities, or defects Analyze and interpret indications in accordance with governing acceptance criteria Accept or reject test objects based on applicable standards or specifications Accurately document inspection results for formal reporting Prepare and sign inspection reports Maintain equipment in proper working condition Mentor and guide Level I technicians and trainees as needed Communicate professionally with company personnel Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / DOCUMENTATION
Valid and current Level II certification in one or more of the following NDT methods, issued under SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or an equivalent employer-based written practice: Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Candidates certified in only one method are welcome to apply; multiple certifications are a plus Verifiable field experience and copies of certifications required prior to assignment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites Ability to travel within the regional service area (approx. 2-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA) Strong interpersonal, communication, and professionalism skills Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required Must comply with all safety and client site requirements
