A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description

Local engineering and testing firm seeking a ICC Certified & Nondestructive Testing Technician Level II to join our Charleston office. Applicant should be ASNT Certified as a Level II Inspector in
MT, PT, RT
& UT or capable of meeting the in-house certification requirements based on
SNT-TC-1A. ICC
Certifications for Structural Steel & Bolting and Structural Welding Inspector. Certified Welding Inspectors and ICC Certified Technicians are encouraged to apply. Qualifications Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to routinely lift 40 to 50 lbs. Capable of working as a contributing member in a small team environment. Willingness to work in plant environments, client facilities, and outdoors. Flexibility in work hours when needed if night or weekend work is required. Capable of working at heights with safety gear. Willing to learn new skills and seek Level III certification when appropriate Detail-oriented to fully document work performed, results and conformance with codes
