Job Description
An opportunity awaits at a leading manufacturing plant focusing on structural racking systems, where precision and excellence are paramount. This position demands thorough inspection and documentation of manufacturing activities, ensuring alignment with
AWS D1.1
standards and internal quality benchmarks. Responsibilities include active supervision of operations such as cutting, punching, shearing, stamping, notching, welding, and painting utilizing the GMAW Spray Transfer process. Key duties encompass conducting routine inspections and verification of welding processes and credentials, performing certification tests on welders, and generating comprehensive Welder Qualification Records and related documentation. The role also involves equipment checks, interpreting fabrication blueprints, and contributing to the sustained efficacy of the Quality Assurance Manual. Occasional travel is necessary. The ideal candidate holds a current AWS CWI or AWI certification and has a hands-on background in manufacturing and welding. Proficiency in documentation, quality assurance, and Microsoft Office is essential. Organizational skills and personal accountability are highly valued.
