What they do
A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

- First Shift Job Summary Are you the type of person who is self-motivated in your desire to achieve welding excellence and is eager to learn and apply technical welding principles?
- High School Diploma .
- Technical School or skilled trade program in welding technology, auto tech, diesel tech, industrial /manufacturing systems tech, ag systems tech or related field.
- Minimum three years experience related to welding in non-destructive testing or visual inspection , maintenance , tooling, continuous improvement, or quality technician
- a nd physical welding experience.
- Basic u nderstanding of weld design guidelines , standards /codes , problem solving , and troubleshooting .
- Ability to visually inspect welding quality against the appropriate acceptance criteria required .
SMAW, FCAW, SAW, CAC
, and OFC/PAC for manual and automated processes preferred.- Comprehensive knowledge of safely operating general industrial tools required . Hands-on skill operating company or similar industrial, construction, or agricultural/environmental equipment preferred.
- Vermeer Welder L evel III or qualified
FCAW + GMAW-S
(pipe) preferred . GMAW- P qualification required .
- American Welding Society member or Certified Welding Inspector or Supervisor (CWI / CWS) preferred.
