We're looking for an experienced Certified Welding Inspector to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of weld quality across our projects. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to oversee weld quality, ensure code compliance, and support our welding and fabrication teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in getting things right the first time. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds per applicable codes (AWS D1.1, ASME, API, or as specified by project) Review and verify welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification records (WQR) Conduct in-process and final weld inspections on shop and field fabrications Identify and document weld defects; work with welders and supervisors on corrective actions Coordinate NDT (nondestructive testing) as required and review NDT reports Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation Train and mentor welders on quality standards and best practices Support ongoing MSHA and safety compliance efforts within the shop Assist with material traceability and quality control documentation Qualifications Active AWS CWI certification required Strong working knowledge of

AWS D1.1
