Job Description

ADECCO is seeking a Certified Welding Inspectors to support the quality control program for a client in Haltom City, TX. This role focuses on maintaining product quality through visual welding inspection of poles and heavy structural steel assemblies, with direct involvement in manufacturing floor activities and coordination with the QA/QC team. The position requires careful review of shop drawings, weld symbols, customer specifications, and applicable AWS and AISC standards to confirm that fabricated steel is produced as planned and that inspection records are accurate and complete. The Certified Welding Inspector also supports the Quality Control Manager in administering the AISC program, preparing for audits, and helping resolve quality non-conformances without disrupting production flow. This is an on-site, full-time position with work performed in a shop and office environment. Benefits Pay is $31.50 to $33.75 per hour, dependent upon experience. Payment is by the collective agreement, where applicable to the role. What You Will Do? Perform visual inspection of welded joints on poles and heavy structural steel assemblies at the assigned plant. Verify that fabricated steel is welded according to planned requirements, customer specifications, and applicable AWS and AISC standards. Complete in-process weld inspections and maintain accurate inspection records, notebooks, and supporting documentation. Review new project specifications, detail drawings, customer standards, and moderate-complexity technical documents. Support the Quality Control Manager in administering the AISC program and preparing the shop for annual AISC audits. Work with QA/QC inspectors to organize daily and weekly inspection work in support of production flow. Assist in identifying, documenting, and resolving non-conforming material or component issues in a timely manner. Provide clarifications and support to shop employees regarding QC issues, inspection findings, and related requirements. Your Skills Three to five years of experience in welding heavy steel assemblies, with inspection experience preferred. Ability to read and understand shop drawings, including weld symbols and related fabrication details. Basic knowledge of AWS national codes and AISC requirements for structural steel work. Level II certification in ultrasonic testing or magnetic particle testing, with documented training completion from an accredited Level III instructor. Current Certified Welding Inspector certification using
AWS D1.1
code requirements. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while following directions. Excellent oral and written communication skills for coordination with QA/QC teams and shop personnel. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methods is desired. Ability to maintain reliable attendance, meet deadlines, and uphold organized inspection documentation. Interested?
