standards, and customer specifications Conduct in-process and final weld inspections throughout fabrication Review blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and project specifications Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation Support AISC certification requirements and annual audits Work closely with production and QA/QC teams to address quality concerns Help identify and resolve non-conforming materials and workmanship issues Required Qualifications Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification 3+ years of welding inspection experience within structural steel or heavy fabrication Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols Knowledge of

welding standards Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in heavy structural steel fabrication Level II UT and/or MT certification Knowledge of AISC quality programs Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience Work Environment This position is based in a structural steel fabrication facility and requires regular time on the production floor.
