This is an opportunity to begin a career as a travelling Aerial Equipment inspector. You will primarily work with Fire Departments and Power companies. We prefer those with mechanic, welding, or inspection experience, but anyone can apply. American Test Center has been providing aerial inspections nationwide for over 40 years, and has built a reputation based on reliability and quality of inspection. TRAINING

Initial training for the position will begin with a brief, online training orientation program. After beginner training, employees will work and train with a certified inspector. Training continues until certification requirements are met, average training duration is between 4 and 8 months.

TRAVEL:

ABILITY TO TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY IS A MUST

. Technician assistants will travel for 4-6 week long assignments, followed by a weekend break. Breaks are scheduled for all major holidays, and occasional weekends. Company pays required travel expenses including airfare, lodging, per-diem etc. Geographical assignments can be in any one of our domestic territories. Although not promised, assignments could be close to home allowing additional home time.

NEW HIRES START IN A TRAINING / ASSISTANT POSITION

- Base Salary starts between $21 - $23 /hr. There are significant advancements received after completing training, totalling more than $3/hr in addition to the starting wage. So, it's possible to advance to more than $25/hr within the first year of employment.

TRAVEL COMPENSATION

Per diem is provided for meals, up to $250/week. Hotel stays are directly covered by company accounts. All certified inspectors drive company vehicles, and transportation is provided for trainees working outside their home area.

CERTIFIED INSPECTOR CAREER

Once certified, technicians are based from home. Technicians will be given a fully-equipped company vehicle and will continue to service customers in their local geography. A typical coverage area is roughly a 200 mile radius depending on location. Travel will still be an expectation, however, there will be significantly more home time than during training.
