A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description
Job Overview DMY Engineering Consultants , the leader in delivering integrated engineering solutions throughout the life cycle of public and private sector projects, is seeking AWS (CWI) Certified Welding Inspector or (CAWI) Certified Associate Welding Inspector for the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia metro region. AWS (CWI) Certified Welding Inspector or (CAWI) Certified Associate Welding Inspectors Responsibilities
- Perform necessary Quality Assurance/Quality Control inspections per the requirements of
AWS D1.1
Structural Welding Code, including some non-destructive testing- Monitor welder qualification records.
- Maintain company control processes, procedures and specifications.
- Understand the requirements of the
AWS D1.1
Structural Welding Code.- Maintain company's established Quality Assurance Manual.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Verification of welding equipment and documentation.
- Optional
- Write Welder Qualification Records, PQR's & WPS.s. . Optional
- UT and MT testing but preferred
- Document findings and submit a daily report
- Effective and diplomatic communication with job-site foreman and crew
- Notify Engineer or Project Manager of deficiencies and concerns Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Effective written and oral English communication skills
- Integrity, collaboration, and dedication to clients
- Comfortable getting hands dirty
- Ability to lift 45+ pounds
- Detail oriented
- Dependable and Flexible
