About A pioneering electric aviation company is seeking a Level III Ultrasonic NDI Subject Matter Expert to join its Quality organization. This role will serve as the technical authority for ultrasonic inspection techniques across the organization, with particular emphasis on composite structures. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping inspection standards as the company scales its manufacturing operations, helping build out training programs and mentoring the next generation of NDI technicians. Responsibilities Establish Ultrasonic inspection processes and procedures in accordance with aerospace requirements Establish and lead an Ultrasonic NDI training program to develop other team members to Level I or Level II certification Perform Ultrasonic NDI on parts and assemblies as required Provide or direct training, examination, and certification of personnel Conduct NDI for part acceptance and document results per practical examination requirements Audit outside agencies as required by the written practice Interpret applicable codes, standards, and requirement documents governing the NDI method Select appropriate methods and techniques for specific tests Prepare and verify the adequacy of procedures and work instructions Required Experience & Skills High school graduate or equivalent Level III certification (per NAS 410) in Ultrasonic NDI Minimum 5 years of experience in NDI Proficient with typical Ultrasonic inspection equipment, including Phased-Array and Bond Test flaw detectors Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other business reporting tools Desirable / Additional Qualifications Experience inspecting composite structures Minimum 5 years of Ultrasonic NDI experience specifically within aerospace manufacturing At least one year of college/university study Knowledge of Quality Systems such as AS9100 Familiarity with Olympus flaw detection equipment and software Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., CATIA or Onshape) Experience interfacing with ERP systems (e.g., Plex) Experience partnering with manufacturing teams to develop new processes
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
