Job Description

Our client in Tukwila, WA location is currently hiring for an Associate / Experienced Non‑Destructive Testing Engineer to support their In‑Service NDT team. This is a contract opportunity on first shift supporting commercial aircraft programs. This role is a non‑managerial, non‑leadership position within a large, stable aerospace environment that promotes safety, quality, and collaboration. Pay

  • Standard weekday schedule; flexibility for variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends as needed Placement Type
  • Contract (52 weeks) (Responsibilities)
  • Author Non‑Destructive Test (NDT) procedures in accordance with program and regulatory requirements
  • Incorporate revisions authored by Method Responsible Level III personnel into standard procedure reviews
  • Develop Computer‑Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards
  • Set up non‑destructive test and measurement equipment to approved calibration standards
  • Create detailed procedure figures illustrating inspection locations, geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response
  • Perform inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Eddy Current Testing (ET) methods
  • Identify and report potential adverse trends or anomalous inspection results
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance in a production‑support environment (Qualification Requirements)
  • Minimum 1 year of education or hands‑on experience in
NDI / NDT
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as required
  • Ability to work in confined spaces Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related NDT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 800 hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • 300 hours of Ultrasonic Shear‑Wave Testing
  • 800 hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET)
  • Experience using CAD software
  • Experience writing UT and ET techniques and inspection procedures (Disqualifiers)
  • No hands‑on experience with non‑destructive inspection or testing methods
  • Inability to work onsite in Tukwila, WA
  • Lack of flexibility for shift changes, overtime, or occasional weekend support (Employee Value Proposition)
