Job Description

Join us at Stainless Foundry & Engineering on Milwaukee's north side! We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable QM Welding Technician to support our welding and quality programs in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role will assist with weld documentation, filler material management, welding records, testing, inspections, and the development and maintenance of welding procedures and welder qualifications. The ideal candidate has welding, metallurgical, fabrication, or NDT experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment where safety, quality, and accuracy are essential. •Must be local to the Milwaukee area - this role is fully onsite•
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the creation and collection of data for the creation of weld maps. Deliver filler materials to the welders as required. Assist in the organization of welding records pertaining to the welding program. Organize the filler materials inventories. Assist in weld bend and weldability testing as required. Assist in training of inspection and/or personnel pertaining to welding and NDT. Assist in the development and revision of welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder personnel qualifications (WPQ) documentation. Perform other duties as assigned by Quality management
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education diploma. Metallurgical and/or welding experience would be helpful. NDE experience in visual and penetrant testing would be a benefit.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must be able to be certified to
ASNT SNT-TC-1A
Level II in both Visual Testing (VT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). Must also be able to be certified as a fork truck driver to move castings.

Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
