$75.50/hr + Per Diem ($100/day - $700/week)
Position Description:
Join a leading energy company as a Sr.
Civil / Structural
Engineer supporting nuclear power projects at the Surry Power Station in Virginia. This contract role offers a hybrid work schedule (50% remote, 50% onsite) within a dynamic environment dedicated to innovative energy solutions. You will lead civil and structural design assessments, develop and review engineering change packages, and coordinate major capital projects such as piping supports, seismic evaluations, and large component replacements. Your expertise will drive critical project implementations, ensuring safety, compliance, and project efficiency. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide field engineering support, and help shape the future of nuclear power infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical skills in a vital industry with a prominent utility provider.
Top Requirements:
10+ years of civil/structural design engineering experience in nuclear or power generation environments Strong knowledge of the Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-001) and Engineering Design Changes Civil/Structural engineering expertise, including seismic design, piping supports, and heavy load rigging Experience supporting major capital projects within nuclear, industrial, or power sectors Field engineering and project implementation experience B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent experience in lieu of degree Nice to
Have:
