- Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Design Oversight
- + Lead the development, review, and coordination of electrical engineering designs for commercial nuclear, DOE, and other highly regulated industrial projects.
- Power System Engineering
- + Lead and perform detailed AC and DC power system analyses using ETAP, including: + Short Circuit Studies + Protective Device Coordination Studies + Arc Flash Hazard Analyses + Voltage Drop Studies + Motor Starting Studies + Load Flow and System Capacity Evaluations + Develop engineering recommendations based on study results and ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.
- Design Development
- + Develop design criteria, scopes of work, engineering packages, and technical documentation.
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- + Develop and review technical equipment specifications, bid packages, and procurement documentation. + Evaluate supplier proposals and provide technical recommendations for equipment selection. + Coordinate vendor interfaces, review vendor drawings and submittals, and manage technical inquiries throughout the procurement process.
- Project Execution & Client Engagement
- + Coordinate electrical engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, structural, civil, I&C, and construction personnel.
- Construction & Field Support
- + Provide technical support during construction, startup, testing, and commissioning activities. + Assist with resolving field design issues and developing practical engineering solutions. + Travel to client offices, vendor facilities, and project sites to support design reviews, walkdowns, and construction coordination.
- Qualifications
- + Minimum 10-15+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting commercial nuclear, DOE, power generation, or other complex industrial facilities. + Demonstrated experience leading electrical design efforts on multidisciplinary engineering projects. + Experience serving as a technical lead, discipline lead, or project engineering lead is preferred.
- Technical Qualifications
- + Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including transformers, generators, switchgear, motor control centers, motors, protective relays, and power system protection schemes.
- Licensure
- + Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.

- + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
