Job Summary :
Provides multi-discipline engineering teams with strong technical and project leadership within a discipline, engineering section or for major engineering projects. Possesses and applies advanced knowledge and technical skills to solve complex engineering problems, or to plan and coordinate larger scale engineering projects or varied assignments requiring diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Provides expert technical consultation and assessment on engineering problems and projects to engineering personnel. Serves as a management consultant on complex engineering problems and issues. Controls technical, financial and service commitments to internal or external customers. May perform independent research to find innovative and cost effective engineering solutions to operational problems. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Required Education and Certifications /
Licenses :
Civil/Structural Engineering degree (B.S. minimum, M.S. a plus). (ABET accredited) Will accept years of experience in lieu of degree High school diploma is a min requirement Top "must have" / Required skill sets (technical/functional): Experience with equipment design and procurement specification document development Engineering design change qualified (Standard Design Process

) Nuclear industry experience Top "nice to have" skill sets : Familiarity with standard civil engineering codes Qualifications for writing equipment specifications Experience with large complex projects 10 CFR 50.59 Screen preparation and review experience Soft skill requirements (team fit and personality requirements) : Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, meeting facilitation and presentation capabilities Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively with a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff Ideal background / Companies /
Industry Experience :
Experience with preparation of nuclear engineering documents to include engineering design change packages, 50.59 screen and applicability reviews, and engineering assessments to support piping replacements, floor loading, rigging heavy loads, and other large capital project activities. Skilled in reviewing and approval of procedures, drawings, calculations, contingency plans, and training materials Ability to work in the field to support implementation activities
Pay:
$75.00 - $90.00 per hour
