Perform fiber-optic testing using OTDR, optical power meters, light sources, and other test equipment. Conduct fiber characterization, loss measurements, splice testing, and link-budget verification. Diagnose optical network faults and identify root causes of equipment or fiber-related issues. Perform system upgrades, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacements in the field. Interpret optical schematics, engineering drawings, network diagrams, and equipment specifications. Support integration and acceptance testing of optical transmission systems. Work with engineering, NOC, project management, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues. Document test results, field activities, equipment configurations, and corrective actions. Prepare commissioning, test, and service reports. Follow site safety procedures and applicable industry standards. Travel to customer and network sites as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1+ Year Experience with fiber-optic networks and optical transmission systems. Ability to read fiber/network diagrams and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in field environments. Good written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel to customer and remote sites. H-1B and Green Card sponsorship available.
