ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead the full optical module test function, covering AOI automated optical inspection, opto-electronic functional testing, high-speed signal testing, and final outgoing inspection. You will build and own the operator training framework, ensuring every test operator is fully certified on all test instruments and acceptance criteria — across every test station.
TEST SYSTEMS
REQUIRED WORKING KNOWLEDGE
Optical Power Meter (OPM) Eye Diagram Analyser / BERT AOI Systems (Koh Young / Saki / Omron) Optical Spectrum Analyser (OSA) High-Speed Oscilloscope SPI Inspection System X-Ray Inspection System Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the test line daily operation to achieve Test Pass Rate, FPY, and capacity targets Supervise and coach operations across AOI, SPI, optical power testing, Eye Diagram testing, and BER testingstations Build operator test training matrix: instrument operation certification → acceptance standard mastery → anomaly escalation → autonomous quality judgement Ensure every test operator completes independent operation certification on each test instrument before solo assignment Manage test equipment calibration programme and ensure full measurement traceability Analyse test failure data; identify systemic defects and drive improvement in process and assembly stages Align test specifications with customer requirements for 400G / 800G / 1.6T standards (IEEE / MSA) Maintain test station SOPs, acceptance criteria documentation, and non-conforming material handling procedures
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years in opto-electronic / optical communications testing, including 2+ years as supervisor Familiar with 400G / 800G / 1.6T optical module test specifications (QSFP-DD / OSFP / CPO) Proficient in Eye Diagram, BER, extinction ratio, optical power budget, and related test parameters Familiar with
IEEE 802.3 / MSA
relevant standards; CMIS specification knowledge preferred Able to interpret test programs or operate ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) platforms
