Protection & Control Engineer

Our client, a leader in the electric utility and power systems industry, is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer to join their team. As a Protection & Control Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering / Power Systems department supporting the design, development, testing, and commissioning of critical protection and control systems for substations and power infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Design protection and control systems for substation and utility projects. Prepare and review electrical diagrams, schematics, relay logic, and control house drawings. Develop relay settings, protection schemes, and conduct coordination studies. Support SCADA and communication integration with protection systems. Coordinate with technicians, designers, and project managers throughout project phases, including testing and commissioning. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in protection and control engineering or substation design. Knowledge of substation protection schemes, relay applications, and control circuit design. Ability to interpret detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation.
