Job Description

About the Role As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will lead the architecture and validation of robust high-voltage electrical systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring system reliability and safety by managing complex power distribution and electrical isolation requirements for high-energy environments. Responsibilities Architect and validate power distribution frameworks for 3-phase and split-phase electrical loads. Establish rigorous isolation protocols across diverse voltage domains, including 50V, 600V, and 2kV systems. Ensure compliance with international safety standards such as UL508A and
IEC 60664-1
by defining precise clearance and creepage parameters. Optimize system performance through detailed power budgeting, ampacity analysis, and effective load balancing. Mitigate operational risks by analyzing phase imbalances and implementing strategic protection measures. Size conductors and protective devices in strict accordance with NEC guidelines to guarantee infrastructure integrity. Drive safety-critical design documentation and participate in cross-functional technical reviews to uphold engineering excellence. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. 3+ years of professional experience specializing in high-voltage power distribution or industrial panel design. Proven expertise in electrical isolation design, including dielectric coordination and creepage management. Deep understanding of NEC standards and regulatory compliance for high-power electrical systems. Proficiency in performing load calculations and power system protection analysis. Preferred Skills Experience with high-voltage power electronics or electric vehicle (EV) power architectures. Technical proficiency in modeling tools such as ETAP or MATLAB. Background in conducting DFMEA for safety-critical hardware systems. Advanced skills in electrical CAD software and technical documentation platforms.
