You should be comfortable with defining complex electrical system architectures, hands-on hardware bringup, debug, and prototyping to bring these products to production. Description In this role, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate hardware systems for future Apple products. The position requires the ability for independent precise detail design work as well as high level system understanding. Also required are excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Ownership of electrical architecture and implementation. Schematic creation and layout responsibility Bringup and debug hardware validation Prototyping proof of concepts Preferred Qualifications Ability to stay organized, execute to a timeline, and produce high-quality deliverables. Experience in taking designs from concept to mass production in the consumer electronics space. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization. Minimum Qualifications BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering required. 2+ years of relevant industry experience focusing on hardware system design. Excellent EE fundamentals and analog design knowledge focusing on DC/DC, power and signal integrity, and SPICE simulations with intuitive understanding of the EE discipline in practice Strong working experience in electrical design, including component selection, circuit design, schematic capture, component placement, and PCB/flex layout. Knowledge of embedded processor peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI, storage, high-speed serial). Strong working knowledge of best practices for PCB/flex layout and construction. Hands-on experience with test equipment, including oscilloscope, multimeters, and more, for prototype bring-up, debugging, and functional validation. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
