Under the general direction of the Power Planning Section Supervisor, the Senior Hydroelectric Power Utility Engineer (Specialist) serves as a technical authority responsible for advanced hydropower, hydraulic, and system operations analyses supporting State Water Project (SWP) power planning. The incumbent independently leads and performs complex qualitative and quantitative studies to evaluate SWP operational strategies and long term power planning alternatives in support of integrated resource planning and energy policy objectives.
