Engineer III :
$4,001.64 to $4,401.80Engineer II :
$3,637.87 to $4,001.66Engineer I :
$3,306.82 to $3,637.50 Selections for current vacancies will be based upon the candidate's highest level of education/experience/licensing. Please see the requirements listed below. Positions are located at the Government Center/Viera but Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs professional engineering work coordinating, planning, developing, drafting, reviewing, inspecting, and managing assigned water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects.REQUIREMENTS
: Bachelor's or Master's degree in, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering from an Accredited Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university PLUS ;Engineer III :
Five (5) years of professional experience in engineering related to water and wastewater and which includes two (2) years of post-registration experience; OR four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer II in the Utility Services Department and which includes one (1) year of post-registration experience. Land development and utility plan experience is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
: Must possess a valid active State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 471 and maintain said license in an active status during the term of employment.Engineer II :
Five (5) years of experience in engineering related to water and wastewater; OR four (4) years of experience as Brevard County Engineer I in the Utility Services Department. A valid active State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license, in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 471, is preferred. Land development and utility plan experience is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred.Engineer I :
A Board of Professional Engineers (BPE) Certification as an Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred.All Levels :
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
