3001580139-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Constellation Energy seeks a Senior Structural/Civil Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team in the Energy & Utilities sector. You will lead structural and civil design for energy infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include performing calculations, reviewing drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting construction and maintenance activities. Responsibilities Lead structural and civil engineering design and analysis for energy and utilities projects, including substations, generation facilities, and related infrastructure. Develop and validate structural concepts, calculations, and models for steel, concrete, and foundation systems supporting energy assets. Prepare, review, and stamp (if PE) detailed drawings, specifications, design reports, and construction documents in collaboration with CAD/BIM teams. Perform advanced structural analysis, including load combinations, seismic and wind design, and finite element analysis where appropriate. Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and construction teams to ensure integrated, constructible, and cost-effective designs. Review and interpret geotechnical reports and site conditions to develop appropriate civil and foundation solutions. Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations (AISC, ACI, ASCE, building codes, and utility standards). Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and quality review for junior engineers and designers within the Engineering & Architecture department. Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, including providing engineering input to proposals, estimates, and risk assessments. Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and field visits to support installation, commissioning, and resolution of structural or civil issues during construction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate sustainability, resilience, and lifecycle performance into infrastructure solutions. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, permitting agencies, and contractors, to communicate design intent and address technical questions. Contribute to continuous improvement of standards, tools, and processes within Constellation Energy's engineering organization, fostering innovation and best practices.
