Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer for a leading engineering and manufacturing client. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving systems engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition and architecture through integration, validation, and deployment. The ideal candidate combines strong embedded systems expertise with proven leadership experience and a deep understanding of requirements management, system design, and cross-functional collaboration. Working closely with hardware, software, controls, and validation teams, this engineer will ensure products are reliable, compliant, and aligned with customer and business objectives while helping advance systems engineering best practices throughout the organization. Skills and Requirements
- 5-7+ years of engineering experience
- Prior leadership experience such as Software Lead, Systems Lead, Technical Lead, or Project Manager
- Strong embedded systems experience (software preferred)
- Systems engineering experience across the product lifecycle
- Experience with requirements management, traceability, and verification
- Experience with change management and issue tracking processes
- Experience authoring and maintaining system-level requirements and specifications
- Knowledge of system lifecycle, functional decomposition, and interface management
- Hands-on experience with requirements/documentation management tools
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
- MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) experience
- HVAC industry experience
- Automotive, Rail, Aerospace, or Energy Systems experience
- INCOSE Systems Engineering methodology experience
- Embedded controls, sensors, and communication interface experience
- Electro-mechanical product development experience
- System integration, validation, and troubleshooting experience
