Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY
(Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship) A manufacturing client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to strengthen plant power reliability and support growth. This engineer will define and either lead or participate on teams executing improvement projects directed by the strategic plan and plant leadership. The role sits at the intersection of reliability engineering and high- / medium-voltage power distribution. The successful candidate will give proactive direction on optimizing existing equipment, ensure preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies protect the facility's high- and medium-voltage power system, and advise expansion teams on current and future power-distribution needs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Define, lead, or participate on teams executing improvement projects as directed by the strategic plan and plant leadership. Participate in reliability improvement teams and provide proactive direction on optimizing existing equipment that supports aluminum casting, rolling, and finishing processes. Ensure appropriate preventive maintenance (PM) programs are implemented for the facility's high- and medium-voltage power distribution system. Drive utilization of predictive maintenance (PdM) technologies to support reliable operation of plant power systems. Participate on expansion project teams; review and guide current and future expansion activities as they relate to power- distribution requirements. Apply electrical process theory together with team-based organizational management techniques to solve problems across a wide cross-section of the plant. Work independently while partnering effectively with entry-level operators and craftspeople through senior plant management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with medium- and high-voltage power systems, including plant power distribution, switchgear, and transformers. Experience with protective relaying is preferred. Previous industrial co-op experience is preferred, along with hands-on experience in maintenance.
Pay:
$115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
