Systems Engineer (Automotive Power Systems)
Location:
Dearborn, MI Hybrid, 4 Days Onsite
Looking for an opportunity to work on next-generation vehicle technology? We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design and integration of advanced automotive electrical power systems for future vehicle platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with experience in low-voltage power architecture, systems engineering, and functional safety.
Job Duties Support development of 12V and 48V vehicle power distribution architectures
Analyze, size, verify, and optimize low-voltage electrical systems
Apply systems engineering principles to define and manage technical requirements
Support
ISO 26262
functional safety activities and risk mitigation efforts
Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to integrate power system solutions
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to adapt platform solutions to program requirements
Assist with validation and implementation of power management hardware and components
Support vehicle-level integration and electrical architecture performance objectives Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience with 12V and/or 48V automotive power systems
Strong systems engineering experience within electrical or automotive applications
Experience working with
ISO 26262
functional safety standards
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
Ability to work onsite in Dearborn, MI four days per week Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related engineering discipline
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Jira, Jama, or similar engineering tools
